The RAM-B-201U-C, long double socket arm, has a socket at both ends that accommodates 1" ball bases. A single spring inside the arm opens the end sockets, allowing you to pivot the ball and socket connection. This socket technology allows for almost infinite adjustment and perfect viewing angles.

Ich habe mich für das lange Verbindungsteil entschieden. Damit kann ich meine Halterung trotz tiefer Windschutzscheibe super platzieren.
Das gesamte System ist trotzdem sehr stabil, kein wackenl.
Ab/abmontieren problemlos. Stabil, hochwertiger Kunststoff.
Generell muss ich sagen das das RAM System welches man selbst Kombinieren kann super ist!!
Sehr empfehlenswert!!!!!

Just perfect!
I have bought this long connection in order to use my existing RAM Mount for iPad mini not only with the Piper Cadet and Archer aircrafts, but also with DA40, that has a stick instead of a horn. So the mount has to rotate 90° and be a little longer. It works perfectly. The other option would have been the suction cup on the window left, that I also have. So the modularity pays off. With a little money one can extend the use of the old mount to new situations. So should it be!
